Bala Swecha
Bala Swecha is an initiative to bridge the digital divide in low-resource and disadvantaged settings. Our volunteers from across the state team up and go to their nearest government schools, rural areas and introduce kids to computers, internet, and technology in general. (Bala is the Telugu word for kids!)
But his operations taken together are so insignificant, a little chipping, baking, patching, and washing, that in an impression so grand as that of the world on the human mind, they do not vary the result.
The Beginnings
Bala Swecha was initially started in 2012. Later, taking inspiration from our earlier Telugu Operating System project, a FOSS operating system was developed specifically tailored towards education-related applications, which we called the “Bala Swecha OS”.
Over the last decade, we have organised atleast 900 sessions in government schools, developed tens of interactive games with help of our volunteer teams in our SLCs
