As part of the workshops organized by Swecha Learning Centre, I had the opportunity to participate and volunteer in two hands-on sessions that helped me learn several open-source creative tools
Workshop 1: Audacity & Inkscape

In Inkscape, we learned about vector designing and created a poster based on the major problems affecting society. This activity helped us improve our creativity and understand poster design concepts.
In the first workshop, we learned about Audacity and Inkscape.
Through Audacity, we understood the basics of audio editing and practiced tasks like recording audio, importing tracks, selecting audio, changing tempo and pitch, splitting tracks, and exporting edited files. This gave us practical knowledge about how audio editing works.
Workshop 2: GIMP & Blender

The second workshop focused on GIMP and Blender. In GIMP, we learned about image editing and explored different tools used for designing and enhancing images.We performed basic editing tasks such as applying color match techniques (photo compositing) and removing unwanted objects from images, which helped us understand practical image correction and editing techniques.
In Blender, we were introduced to 3D modeling and learned the basics of creating and designing 3D objects. As part of the workshop, we created a toy train model and a wooden chair model. Through this, we learned Blender’s interface, basic modeling techniques, applying materials, and rendering concepts.
